What We Need

A ) which of these values are present in this stanza?  solidarity, friendship, happiness, courage, honesty, respect, loyalty, responsibility , peace, freedom.

A little dash of purpose, - Solidarity     

An effort made to cheer, - Friendship

A little more of courage, - Courage

And less of doubt and fear, - Courage

A little more of lifting, - Peace

And pulling all our weight, -Freedom

A little less of leaning,- Peace

And leaving it to fate. - Friendship

A little less of grabbing, - solidarity

Of selfishness and greed, -

A little more of helping, - Generous

A fellow that’s in need; - Friendship

A little more of working, -Responsibility

With smiles instead of frowns, -Happiness

A little less of kicking, - Solidarity

A fellow when he down. - Friendship

C) Read the third verse and complete it in the correct form of the verb

 A little less , ….complaining….. (complain)

About the things that mar,

A little more ......adapting.....,(adapt)

To all the things that are;

A little more of.....carying..... (Cary)

And willingness to fight,

A little more of...Daring...... (dare)

For what we feel is right.

D) Read the fourth verse and answer the following question.

      a) what do we  need to gladden this old earth?

A little splash of humor,

To brighten up the way,

A little joy to follow,

And linger through the day;

A little touch of laughter,

To cause a little mirth,

Is simply what we’re needing,

To gladden this old earth.

- Together  can build it the happiness.

E) Create a new stanza to add  to the poem

And this happiness

only can get it whit our help
you cannot do it alone

do it together
to make better world
